Factorio
Factorio is a game in which you build and maintain factories. You will extract resources, research technologies, build infrastructure, automate production, and fight enemies. You start by chopping trees, mining ore, and crafting mechanical arms and transport belts by hand, but before long you can become an industrial powerhouse, complete with massive solar fields, oil refining and cracking, and the production and deployment of construction and logistics robots—all to feed your ever-growing need for resources. However, this intensive exploitation of the planet does not sit well with the locals, so you must be prepared to defend yourself and your machine empire. Join other players in cooperative multiplayer, where you can build enormous factories, collaborate, and divide tasks among friends. Add mods to enhance your experience, from small quality-of-life tweaks to complete game overhauls. Factorio's modding support, built from the ground up, has let content creators around the world design innovative and exciting features. While the main gameplay is presented as a free-play sandbox, there are also a number of engaging challenges in the form of Scenarios. If you cannot find a map or scenario you like, create your own with the in-game Map Editor: place entities, enemies, and terrain your way, and even add custom scripts for truly unique gameplay.
