Batman: Arkham City
The story of *Batman: Arkham City* takes place a year and a half after the events of *Arkham Asylum*. Quincy Sharp, the former director of the psychiatric hospital, has become the mayor of Gotham and has established a maximum-security prison called "Arkham City." Within its walls, criminals operate without control or law, with only one rule: no escaping. In this dark and sprawling setting, all the classic villains appear—the Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, Ra's al Ghul, James Gordon, and many more. Each of them, separately and together, presents Batman with complex challenges that drive the narrative, immersing the player in an atmosphere of constant horror and tension. The game features an open world that allows free exploration of every corner of this prison city. From the start, the player has access to all the gadgets from the previous installment, many of them upgraded and others completely new. Detective Mode highlights enemies' skeletons and enables detailed analysis, such as tracking the trajectory of a sniper bullet. Additionally, there is a database that monitors the villains throughout the city. At a key point in the story, players can take control of Catwoman, who has her own "Thief Mode," a variant of the detection system. Visually, the art design and soundtrack are deeply atmospheric—subtle yet steeped in a sense of darkness and horror that perfectly matches the plot and characters. The combination of fluid gameplay, an open world packed with secrets, and an absorbing narrative makes *Batman: Arkham City* an unforgettable experience, earning it a score of 9.4/10.
